The Division of Civil and Environmental Engineering is a unit of the Department of Hydraulic, Maritime and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) dedicated primarily to education, research and transfer of knowledge in Environmental Engineering, particularly in quality control and water and sludge treatment. Since its founding in 1989, the division has had a remarkable role in promoting awareness on water resources planning and on technical aspects of water treatment systems in Catalonia, Spain and internationally.
Under FP7, UPC participated in both the the NaWaTech project and the SWINGS project.UPC is leading the Exploitation and Dissemination of Results foressen in the PAVITR project.
